In today’s world, most of us struggle with finances and work. Some of us don’t earn enough to cover all our expenses and we have kids to feed. We might have a growing debt that needs to be paid. And then some of us loathe our jobs, yet we can’t leave them because it’s the only thing that brings food to the table. These are common problems that many of us have, yet have a hard time getting out of.

Problems like these affect our attitude towards life and towards the people around us. To our kids or significant others we become moody or difficult. At work, we become unproductive. When you struggle with these things your personal lives are affected and you feel like there’s no way out.

But there is a way out. There are things you can do to better your situation. You can become financially independent if you want to. Yes, that raise you’ve been dreaming about? It will no longer be a dream. How do you go about this? How do you create a life full of joy and not problems?

Think about this quote for a minute: “Thoughts become things.” I’m sure you’ve heard of this. A lot of times, probably. You’ll come across this in self-help books and articles. Life coaches, teachers, advisers, psychologists, say this most of the time. But what does this mean, really? Do thoughts really become things? How? To answer these questions, we first need to understand what manifestation is and how it can be used by any person and applied to any situation.

What is Manifestation?

Manifestation is a by-product of the law of attraction. The latter is simply the law of the universe. It means you attract what you want to manifest in your life. Attracting wealth means you will be financially independent. Attracting fame means you will be famous. But it’s not as simple as it sounds. You do need to really commit to getting the life that you want. This means that if you want to change your current situation, you will need to follow this guide. By no means is this a complete guide to instant manifestation and the law of attraction but the teachings and topics in this article will be enough to prove to you the power of manifestation. Here’s what you can do to help you get whatever it is that you want to manifest in your physical world:

1. Set your intention

How much? You can’t just say you want to be rich. How much money do you really want and when do you want it? What would this money do for you, what is your driving force for wanting this money? These are questions that you need to answer. Once you have come up an exact figure, write it down on a piece of paper and keep the paper with you. Constantly visualize what it would mean for you if you had this money.

Or let’s say for example you’re a 40-year old struggling with a growing debt. You desperately want to pay it off but you don’t have the resources. Okay, first thing: Don’t think about debt or you will be attracting and inviting more debt into your life, as per the law of attraction. If you only think about debt, if you let it become your primary focus, you will only be attracting more of it.

This does not mean though that you should ignore issues like these. They are your obligations and you do need to plan and map out what it would take for you to solve these problems. For the time being though, avoid thinking too much about the issues themselves. Instead, for example, think about when you plan to pay all your debts. Write down the date when you want it all paid out. A month for now? Two months? Write it down.

The role of gratitude in manifestation

This is age-old advice that actually works, yet people don’t follow. Gratitude is simply being appreciative of what you have. A little gratitude goes a long way. Trust me, it’s going to make your situation better. Being grateful for all the things that better your life, however small, will make a big difference in your attitude and your outlook. Sometimes, it can even change your life instantly. Why gratitude? Because being thankful about things, large or small, helps you feel good. When you feel good, it’s easier to think of good things. Try thinking about better things when you feel bad and you’ll have a really hard time. How to manifest money quickly? Be grateful with the little money that you have or even the job that you have, however bad it is making you feel. Be grateful for your job because it’s what brings money to the table. Without it, you wouldn’t have anything.

How to create a gratitude journal

A spiral notebook will do or even an online journal but a physical journal is definitely the better option, physically writing things down has an instant and positive impact on your thoughts. The important thing is that you make it a habit to write down the things you are grateful for, no matter how small they might seem. Did someone switch rest days with you so you can have the weekends off? Write that down. Did someone treat you for a drink during your break? Write it down. Did someone say something during the day that made you smile or brighten your mood? Write. It. Down.

You see, these little things when compounded become big. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter. Always say thank you before you go to bed and after you wake up. A 5-second thank you can make a big difference. Say thank you every day and watch your life and outlook change for the better.

What to write in your gratitude journal

You will need to write the major achievements and the minor things you are thankful for. An example of the big things you are thankful for is your job. Without it you won’t have a source of income. So that’s a big achievement for you. Your family and trusted friends would also count as the big things. Others include your talents and your life skills.

On another page will be the little things you are thankful for. Before you go to bed, write down at least five of these little things. This exercise will help you appreciate life more; that you actually have many things to be thankful about.

The Secret Shifters

This is from the book, “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrnes, a book that goes into great detail on the law of attraction and manifestation. The secret shifters could be people or things that make you happy. They are the things that instantly create happiness and joy in your life. One example is your family or your kids.

It’s important that you have this near you. Some photos of your kids will do. Adults who don’t have kids may have a list of books that make them happy, a tv series, or even a book of jokes. Anything that will make you happy.  When times are tough, just be with your secret shifters to help you with your mood. Although it is healthy to also embrace your sadness, it’s unhealthy to dwell on it. Once you embrace it, let it all go. You can even write it down. Your secret shifters will help you feel good. And again, when you feel good, it’s easier to think of about the good things.

If there are things that will make you happy, go do it. Do you want an ice cream? Go, buy one. Want to go to an all you can eat buffet lunch? Don’t hesitate.

Secret shifters can do more than just change your mood from bad to better, they will also remind you that although there are far too many problems in life, there are good things that also need to be celebrated. They will constantly remind you that life is beautiful. Don’t waste it feeling bad about your problems, because problems have solutions.

2. Focus your thinking on only positive thoughts

Positive thinking, positive manifestationThis one is big and it’s not easy. Sounds simple? Yes, perhaps. But people sometimes struggle with thinking about good thoughts especially if they feel really bad. That’s why it’s important to have the gratitude journal and your secret shifters as they will help you move from feeling bad to feeling good almost instantly. Reading your gratitude journal will help you become appreciative of life, especially your own. Your secret shifters will help you shift your mood from bad to good.

How to manifest what you want quickly

Start feeling good about yourself. Sometimes, this is the only thing that you need. Your feeling is the seed that you need to start seeing all the good things in life. Feel good and feel the good life. And it’s what you are going to see manifested.

Thoughts, words, and deeds are the creative tools that you can use to transform your life almost instantly. When you know how to do it correctly, it’s really simple. Write down your dream life and start thinking about them. Start visualizing them. Talk to your friends and family about your dream life which brings us to the third step that you need to do to manifest your dream life into reality.

3. Talk about the things that you want to manifest in the physical world

Suppose you want a promotion at work. You’ve been doing your best yet your manager or your head don’t seem to recognize all your efforts. You’ve been a good employee and have been very productive. At least a “thank you” or a pat on the back would do. What you got instead are more work and you are never rewarded. You want a promotion or a raise and you’ve already started visualizing it. So, what’s next? You can try talking to your manager about it, or at least someone capable of making major decisions at work. That way you are going to make it manifest faster.

Are you planning a family vacation and you don’t have a budget for it yet? What you can do is talk to your family about it but not about you not having a budget for it. You can start talking about where you want to go or talk about the attractions that you want to see.

Words are also one of the things that will help speed up manifestation. Sometimes, attracting things not only means thinking about them. Talking about them also helps.

Act like you already have what you want

If you want to be wealthy, act like you are wealthy. You don’t really need to splurge, just try not to always limit yourself on the things that you want. Just be generous. If you have money or things that you can donate, give them out. But you need to be sincere while doing this. You don’t do this just because you think you’re going to get something from it in return. Remember: your mind knows your real intention. If you’re giving away money for money, you won’t have it. Give because you want to. Give because you are generous. Be sincere in what you do or the benefit of the action is lost.

Meditation and the law of attraction

If you’re overwhelmed with too many distractions or problems, don’t worry. There’s always something you can do. Meditation is a technique that you can use to help you quiet your mind. There are several forms of meditation that you can follow but the simplest one would do. Just allot a few minutes each day to calm your mind and spirit.

How to meditate

There are several benefits to meditation, but our goal here is to achieve a quiet and peaceful mind. Here’s how to meditate:

  • You could either buy a meditation chair or a yoga mat. A big pillow or foam would also do. Make sure you are comfortably seated.
  • Avoid distractions while meditating. Turn off the tv. If you want to have music on, make sure it’s a relaxing one. Try Sarah Mclachlan’s music as they are pleasing to the ears.
  • Close your eyes and focus on your breath. If your mind switches to a thought, stop. Get back your focus on your breathing.
  • Focus your attention on your breathing, how you inhale and exhale. Try to notice your body’s movement while breathing. Do this for a couple of minutes until you get used to it. Then do it for longer periods.

Practicing meditation not only help you focus, but will help you observe your problems and not judge them.

The four steps you need in manifesting your dream life would be to set your intention, think good thoughts, talk about your dream, and act like they’re already in your reality. These steps when taken religiously will produce instant results. Keep them recapped in your mind so you will always remember.
